Platts has accumulated multiple achievements at BGSU. During the year’s Mid-American Conference Championships, she swam to a win in the 100 Backstroke event in which she three-peated as the MAC Champion with a time of 52.19. During prelims and finals of the 100 Back, she broke her own school record in the event and now holds the 10 fastest times in program history in the event.

Also in the MAC Championships, Platts broke her own school record in the 200 IM where she finished third in the MAC with a time of 1:58.32. On the last day of competition Platts finished second in the MAC in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:55.17. She also holds the 10 fastest times in the event in program history.

Platts was also a part of two school relay record teams during MAC Championships where she was a part of the 200 and 400 Medley Relay teams. Platts recorded the fastest back stroke split of any swimmer in the 200 Medley on the first night of competition.

This is the second time that Daisy has qualified for NCAA Championships. Last year she swam in the 100 and 200 Backstroke at NCAA Championships at Greensboro Aquatic Center. She broke the previous school record in the 100 Backstroke and won her heat in the event last year finishing 21st overall, which was a 16-place improvement from her seed going into the event. She did so with a time of 52.65.

Daisy also swam in the 200 Backstroke last year where she placed 24th in the event with a time of 1:54.75. Going into the event Daisy was seeded 36th and improved her place by 12 spots.
