McGowan to attend Stetson
DeLAND, FLA. – Victoria McGowan, who played as a freshman on Bowling Green’s women’s basketball team last
season, has transferred to Stetson University. Stetson’s head coach is Lynn Bria, the former head coach
at Ohio University.
A 5-feet-4 guard, McGowan averaged four minutes per game in 16 games for the Falcons and she finished
with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists with 17 turnovers.
BG asst. coach hired at Cincinnati
CINCINNATI – George Jackson, an assistant men’s basketball coach at Bowling Green State University of the
last two season, has been named to a similar position at the University of Cincinnati.
Jackson also coached five years at Seton Hall under Orr. Before going into college coaching, Jackson was
the head coach for 20 years at Cincinnati Withrow.
Reimold 1-for-3 in Orioles’ loss
SEATTLE – Former BGSU standout Nolan Reimold went 1-for-3 with a single in Baltimore’s 3-2 loss at
Seattle Wednesday.
In 19 games, Reimold is batting .279 (19-for-68) with five home runs and 11 RBI.
