Pemberville book club starts today
PEMBERVILLE —   The Pemberville Public Library recently joined the Next Chapter Book Club Affiliate
Network and will be launching its local club today.
Next Chapter Book Club is a community-based program for individuals with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral
palsy and other types of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The first meeting of Pemberville library’s new book club will be today at 5 p.m. at the library, 375 E.
Front St. Anyone interested in joining the club or becoming a volunteer facilitator should contact Pam

Clubs meet in public places and are composed of four to eight members and two volunteer facilitators who
are trained to engage readers of all levels, including those who cannot read or are emerging readers.  

Wayne pantry to distribute government food
WAYNE — Wayne Food Pantry will distribute food Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the fire hall.
The giveaway is for residents in the 43466 ZIP code who meet eligibility requirements.
Indecent exposure reported in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG — Police are investigating a report of indecent exposure at a city movie theater over the
weekend.
According to a report, the incident was reported at Rave Cinemas, 2005 Hollenbeck Drive, at 2:58 p.m. on
Sunday.
The report states that officers responded to the scene “on report of a male exposing himself in a
theater.”
Perrysburg Deputy Police Chief James Rose said that the victims, who were adults, reported the incident
to police. Additional details were not available.
Mercy Health to talk about emergencies
PERRYSBURG — On Thursday at 7 p.m., Jenifer Pfleghaar, DO, Mercy Health — Perrysburg Emergency Center,
will discuss common injuries that should be seen promptly at an ER, versus those that can wait to be
seen by your family physician.
The program, which is part of the Mercy Health Better Living Speaker Series will be held in the Mercy
Health Family Activity Room at Way Public Library, and is open to the public.
