WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, has reintroduced two bills in support of
sportsmen and sportswomen and to ensure that their perspective is heard when crafting federal policy.

One piece of legislation, H.R. 2105, The Wildlife and Hunting Heritage Conservation Advisory Committee
Act, permanently establishes a committee to advise the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture on
wildlife and habitat conservation, recreational shooting, and hunting.
“When policies that can greatly affect recreational activities are being considered, America’s sportsmen
and sportswomen should have a seat at the table,” Latta said. “A permanent Wildlife and Hunting Heritage
Conservation Council will ensure that their voice is heard as a part of these discussions. I am
confident that this legislation will serve to the betterment of current and future generations of
hunter-conservationists.”
Latta also introduced legislation, H.R. 2106, to direct the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary
of Agriculture to require annual permits and assess annual fees for commercial filming activities on
Federal land for film crew of five or less people. Under the current approval system, small and
minimally-funded crews are at a disadvantage compared to larger counterparts. The bill rectifies this
problem by setting a $200 annual fee to obtain a permit for small crews and ensures that no other fees
are imposed.
Latta is the former co-chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus. Both bills are supported by the
Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation.
