Wood County Community Health Center names new CEO

After a nationwide search that drew more than 50 applicants, the Wood County Health Department and health center board has selected Lindsey Ruivivar to serve as the next CEO of the Wood County Community Health Center.

Her first day will be July 1.

Throughout her career, Ruivivar has worked to improve access to healthcare through the expansion of community health centers, both nationally and in Ohio. She has served in leadership roles in several community health centers, most recently serving as chief strategy officer for NEW Health in Chewelah, Washington. She has also worked as an advocate for community health centers at both the state and federal level through the National Association of Community Health Centers (2008-2013) and the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers (2008-2011).

She has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University.

“Ms. Ruivivar brings a wealth of experience, including having served in strategic leadership roles in both an urban and a rural health center, which will translate well to the Wood County community,” said heath department Commissioner Benjamin Robison. “During her time with NACHC and OACHC, she built partnerships that will help our health center to engage thought leaders on emerging strategies to best serve our residents. She has a great vision to expand the number of patients who experience the high-quality care available through the Wood County Community Health Center, and I look forward to seeing it come to life.”
