Driver crashes truck into house in Perrysburg Twp.

PERRYSBURG — A serious injury crash was reported Wednesday in Perrysburg Township.

At 11:22 a.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Office responded to Roachton Road near the intersection of McCutchenville Road.

Brian Banas, 59, Perrysburg, was traveling westbound in the 11300 block of Roachton Road. He went left of center and drove off the roadway on the south and went through the ditch and struck a house.

He was taken by Perrysburg Township Rescue to Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with suspected serious injuries, according to the crash report.

He was wearing a seatbelt but the air bags in his 2016 Dodge Ram did not deploy.
