Join the Wood County District Public Library and the Wood County Fair down on the farm with author Will Hillenbrand.
Hillenbrand joins Kids Day at the Wood County Fair on Tuesday, and will be signing copies of his book, “Down on the Farm,” at the library booth under the Grandstand at the Wood County Fairgrounds from 1-3 pm.
Free books will be given out. Free books were donated by the Wood County Fair.
Hillenbrand grew up in Cincinnati listening to stories at his father’s barbershop. He enjoyed both telling and drawing those stories, and after going to school for art, he chose to pursue a career in illustrating children’s literature. He has over 70 books and holds awards and honors like the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators, ALA Notable Book Award, IRA Children’s Choice Awards, Best Children’s Books of the Year from the Bank Street College of Education, Parenting Best Books of the Year, and more.
