Ribeau returns to BGSU, celebrating 25 years of President’s Leadership Academy

Bowling Green State University will hold a 25th anniversary celebration for the Sidney A. Ribeau President’s Leadership Academy with a leadership symposium on Saturday in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

The symposium will welcome back alumni of the President’s Leadership Academy and will feature BGSU President Rodney Rogers and BGSU President Emeritus Sidney Ribeau.

Established in 1997 by Ribeau, students in the President’s Leadership Academy receive a renewable scholarship that covers the cost of in-state tuition and fees, as well as a comprehensive curriculum grounded in the ideals of servant leadership. Through the development of a community of scholars, students are empowered to grow and develop as they seize opportunities and maximize their academic success while at the university.

In total, more than 450 BGSU students have graduated from the four-year program over the last 25 years.

The event is by invitation only and is closed to the public.
