Wood County indictments: Warrants issued for men indicted for felony drug trafficking

Warrants have been issued for three Michigan men who have been indicted for first-degree felony drug trafficking.

A Wood County grand jury on July 5 indicted co-defendants Juan Martize Patterson, 32, Redford, Michigan, and Rudolph Valentino Jackson, 25, Taylor, Michigan, for trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both first-degree felonies. On May 29, they allegedly were found in possession of and were preparing for distribution 50-100 grams of a fentanyl-related compound.

Warrants have been issued for their arrest.

The grand jury indicted Darius Carlo Hudson, 31, Detroit, for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both first-degree felonies; and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. On April 2-3, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution between 27-100 grams of cocaine. During that time, he also allegedly destroyed or concealed evidence to impair its value or to corrupt the outcome of an investigation.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Also indicted were:

• Monique Armony Perkins, 20, Bowling Green, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony. On May 9 in the 2000 block of Napoleon Road, she allegedly caused physical harm to a man by means of a knife. The man sought treatment at Wood County Hospital.

• Isaiah J. Toole, 24, Batavia, for trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both third-degree felonies. On Oct. 28, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution at least 5,000 grams of marijuana.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• James Lamont Coffey Jr., 27, Toledo, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On July 9, he allegedly took 110 name brand clothing items from Perrysburg Kohl’s valued at $3,466.

• Elias Reyes, 64, Bowling Green, for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, and permitting drug abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Feb. 17, he allegedly was found in possession of cocaine and was the owner or occupant of property he knowingly allowed be used by another person who was in possession of drugs.

• Brian Michael Rybka, 40, Toledo, for grand theft, a fourth-degree felony. He allegedly deprived a Northwood business of 10 boxes of tire pressure monitors from March 8-14, 2022. The value of the items was $9,135.

• Paul Harvey Tatum, 30, Cincinnati, for receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. On April 7, he allegedly took without permission $1,200 in merchandise from Kohl’s.

• Co-defendants Emarzjaeone Zontrell Simmons, 20; Miracle Moenae Durden, 22; Whitlee Iyana Malone, 19; and Ed’sence Earnay Wright, 19, all of Toledo, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On June 7, after an alleged theft at a cosmetics store on U.S. 20 in Rossford, Perrysburg Township police found the suspects’ vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The three women and one man were separated, and a search of the vehicle uncovered a tote bag with approximately 32 different perfumes and colognes. Many still had attached security tags that were actively going off. A look at the store’s security footage showed Wright and Simmons walking into the store. A minute later, Malone and Durden entered. Wright began placing perfumes and cologne in a tote bag while Simmons acted as lookout. Malone and Durden are seen watching Wright place items into the bag while looking around. The four then exit the store. The amount of merchandise taken was valued at $4,174.

• Co-defendants Aaron Michael Johnson Jr., 20; Marques Reasonver Jr., 19; and Marvin Lee Burwell, 20, all of Toledo, for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. On Feb. 7 during a traffic stop on Interstate 75 in Perrysburg Township, the officer reportedly found a loaded firearm on the floor of the back seat that was accessible to all in the vehicle.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Reasonver and Burwell.

• Co-defendants Paul Leon Jackson, 36, Detroit, and Demarko Richard Miller, 35, Warren, Michigan, for money laundering, a third-degree felony. On March 24, they allegedly conducted or attempted to conduct a transaction with the purpose of facilitating corrupt activity. If found guilty, they may be ordered to forfeit $18,110 in currency.

• Cindy L. Marshall, 46, Toledo, for theft from a person in a protected class and illegal use of supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits or WIC program benefits, both fourth-degree felonies. On May 3 in Perrysburg, she allegedly stole an EBT card from an elderly patient at the skilled nursing facility where she worked. She allegedly used the card at numerous locations to purchase items totaling $1,289.

• Jade Lajon Brown, 44, Toledo and currently in jail, for abduction, a third-degree felony; domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor; and unlawful restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor. On Feb. 21, Perrysburg Township police responded to a possible domestic violence on Avenue Road. The alleged victim ran directly to an officer and said Brown was still inside the residence. Officers found a window screen broken and no sign of Brown. The alleged victim told police she was trying to get out of a relationship with Brown for a month, but he had been tracking and stalking her. She was at the Perrysburg home for 15 minutes before walking to her car. Brown’s vehicle reportedly entered the parking lot at a high rate of speed, he jumped from the vehicle, allegedly grabbed and threw her into the stones before grabbing and dragging her into the residence where she was staying. A neighbor called police after she heard screaming and saw a man pull a woman through the stones and into a residence.

• Co-defendants Andre R. Brown, 40, and Amanda R. Brown, 40, both of Toledo, for grand theft, a fourth-degree felony. On April 18, they allegedly deprived a business of an engine overhaul kit and one injector valued at more than $7,500.

• Dawon Marzel Wells, 20, Sandusky, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. An officer on May 16 initiated a traffic stop on a Nissan for signal violation on I-75 near Buck Road in Rossford. The Nissan rapidly accelerated, continued northbound and forced multiple vehicles to abruptly change lanes to prevent being struck. The vehicle exceeded speeds on 100 mph and nearly crashed in road construction at mile marker 198. The Nissan exited at Miami Street and turned east. Rossford police joined the pursuit. Due to the excessive speed and the amount of traffic, the pursuit was terminated near Fasset Street in Toledo. Officers continued on Miami Street and saw a cloud of dust near the intersection of Navarre Avenue, where the Nissan had crashed into a concrete wall. A male was observed running south. A check of the vehicle found a traffic citation issued to Wells along with additional court documents in his name.

• Maurice Lamont Lamb, 43, Toledo, for possession of cocaine, a firth-degree felony. On Feb. 8, he allegedly possessed or used cocaine.

• Angela M. Fleming, 47, Perrysburg, for possession of cocaine, a firth-degree felony. On April 10, she allegedly possessed or used cocaine.

• Jeffrey C. Arnold, 38, of Fostoria and currently in jail, for violating a protection order, a fifth-degree felony. On June 19, he allegedly violated the terms of a protection order. He previously had pleaded guilty to VPO in March in Tiffin/Fostoria Municipal Court.
