WESTON — Ohio’s first Stor-Mor Portable Buildings has come to Wood County.

Located in Weston, Stor-Mor is a company based out of Kentucky. They manufacture portable buildings that come in a variety of sizes and can be used for just about anything.

Weston’s Stor-Mor currently has 15 different buildings on site.

Owner Rose Main said that she hopes to always keep 15-20 buildings on site, so customers have a variety of options to look at. Buildings range in sizes and can have a variety of uses, such as sheds, garages and guest houses.

Each building is for sale and isopen for customers to view inside. Customization options are also available for on-site buildings or customers can create their own designs.

Stor-Mor will bring something new to Weston and Main said she hopes it brings more people into town and allows customers the chance to build something they will enjoy.

“I just hope to bring something to the community that they can put in their own backyard and get years of enjoyment out of for various reasons,” Main said. “Because there isn’t anything you can’t do with these.”

Having found Stor-Mor in February during her own search for a building, Main said she was impressed with the quality of the buildings. When she learned that Stor-Mor was looking to open a site in Ohio, she said she was immediately interested in becoming a dealer.

In May, Main officially opened Weston’s Stor-Mor, making it the first and only location in Ohio.

“You know, knowing the product and knowing how much I myself would choose a Stor-Mor building, I thought this is really something I would like to bring to the area,” she said.

Main and her family have owned multiple businesses, which has given her lots of experience operating businesses and working with people. She said she loves working with people and being able to help them find something they want for an affordable price.

“There’s a huge enjoyment in being able to produce something. I get more enjoyment when somebody buys a building. I’m so darn happy for them,” she said. “Yes, I’m gonna get paid, you know for being a dealership and doing my end of the bargain, but there’s nothing more rewarding than to help somebody get whatever it is they so desire.”

The Stor-Mor of Weston is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling 419-276-4727.

“I am very impressed by their quality,” Main said. “Yes, I’m the dealer. So yes, that’s my job to sell you this building, but if I didn’t believe in it, I would never have chosen them.”
