A Tiffin man was arrested for assault after a downtown incident was reported Saturday.
Bowling Green police were called to the 100 block of North Main Street at 2:25 a.m. on a report of an assault.
Officers spoke with the alleged victim, who told them he had walked out of a downtown bar and asked a man if he knew if Taco Bell was still open.
The alleged victim told police the man became argumentative and aggressive and continued to follow him, yelling obscenities, when he attempted to walk away, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
The man, later identified as Anterius Thomas, 22, allegedly struck the other man in the back of the neck with a closed fist, according to the report.
He and a second witness described the suspect.
Thomas was located and positively identified by the alleged victim and the witness.
Thomas was arrested for assault and taken to jail.
He posted bond Monday and was released.
