Kenneth William Scholl, 87 of Deshler, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, Ohio.

He was born August 20, 1935 in the very home he lived in today. He was the son of the late William and Marvel (Adams) Scholl. He was always proud to keep the Scholl family in the original home. On June 13, 1959 he married Wanda (Cook) Scholl at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler. They were a beautiful example of married love for over 63 years.

Kenny was a 1953 graduate of Deshler High School and worked for a short period of time for the Railroad in Deshler. It was then that he turned to his true passion of farming. He was a lifetime farmer and when not tending to his own land, he would drive truck for the former Dekalb Hybrids.

He was a lifetime and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler and a former church council member. He was a former member of the Deshler Farmers Elevator Board and the Bartlow Cornerstone Farm Council.

Alongside his wife, they enjoyed many winters in Palmetto, Florida. Here he liked to play shuffleboard and cards. An avid reader, he would often visit the local library to find his next book. His family will remember him for his clean jokes, fun sense of humor and his unconditional love and support.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Diane (Steve) Wensink; Patricia Scholl; three grandchildren, Mark (Jenny) Wensink; Abbigail Wensink; Amy (Kyle) Domer; two great grandchildren, Emery and Beau; and two sisters, Mary (Paul) Meyer and Avis (Don) Snyder.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. Christopher Walter officiating. Burial will follow in West Belmore Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m., Friday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and 10-11 a.m., Saturday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church; Edwin Wood Memorial Library or the Deshler Firemen’s Association.
