A Wood County man has been indicted for rape and a man from Detroit has been indicted for public indecency.

A Wood County grand jury on Dec. 21 indicted Mark D. Boos, 56, Fostoria, for rape, a first-degree felony; and sexual battery, a third-degree felony.

On Oct. 11, he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with someone who was not a spouse and that person’s ability to resist or consent was substantially impaired due to a mental or physical condition or because of advanced age.

He also was accused of engaging in the sexual conduct when he knew she was unaware the act was committed.

Caleb Duane Garrison, 19, Detroit, was indicted for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony; two counts sexual imposition, both third-degree misdemeanors; and public indecency, a first-degree misdemeanor.

On Aug. 1, he was accused of exposing his private parts with the purpose of personal arousal or gratification or to lure a minor into sexual activity. The alleged circumstances were his conduct was likely to be viewed by another, who was a minor.

On Aug. 1, he allegedly recklessly engaged in sexual conduct with another person who was 13 at the time.

He also on Aug. 1 allegedly had sexual contact with two different 11-year-olds knowing that conduct was offensive.

Nicholas H. Gerkens, 44, Cygnet, was indicted for gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony.

From July 1-31, he is accused of having sexual contact with a child who was 16 years old at the time by compelling the child to submit by force or threat of force.
