BGSU women’s golf heading to Colorado

The Bowling Green State University women’s golf team continues the fall season on Monday at Colorado State’s Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic.

The two-day event will take place at the Ptarmigan Country Club. The par-72, 6,468-yard course is in Fort Collins. It is BGSU’s first appearance at the annual event.

The first 36 holes will be played on Monday with the final 18 on Tuesday.

The rest of the field will include Boise State, Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge, Colorado State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Nevada, UC Irvine, Utah Valley and Wyoming.

Competing for the Falcons are Averi Mickelson, Kayla Davis, MacKenzie Moore, Savannah Wyrick and Mallory Swartz.

Mickelson, in her collegiate debut, finished eighth at the Redbird Invitational in BGSU’s fall opener. Davis finished 12th in the Redbird Invitational her last time out with a 9 over par score.
