Help veterans experience Honor Flight

To the Editor:
My husband and I had the honor of going on the bus for Flag City Honor Flight at the end of April. It is
a fantastic experience for veterans.
On this particular trip, there were Vietnam veterans, veterans serving during that same period of time,
and a Desert Storm veteran. It’s the only Honor Flight in Northwest Ohio, but they frequently have
veterans from Indiana, Michigan and other places in Ohio.
Veterans are fully paid for, but if someone goes with them, that person has to pay their own way. Honor
Flight is entirely funded through contributions from businesses, churches, some school fundraisers,
organizations, and individuals, no local or state funds are received.
There are also many volunteers, one being Deb Wickerham, who is president of the board, and can give you
all the information you would need. If you would want to donate time or money, you can send checks to
Flag City Honor Flight, PO Box 885, Findlay, OH, 45840. You can also learn more online at
