Three people were indicted Wednesday by a Wood County grand jury on prostitution charges involving an
underage girl hired out for sex.
Desmond Henry, 29 and Naomi Rolen, 24, both of Toledo; and Richard Pope, 25, of Luna Pier, Michigan, were
each indicted on two counts of promoting prostitution.
According to the indictments, the charges stem from a March 20 incident involving the transportation of a
16-year-old girl from Toledo to Perrysburg “in order to facilitate her engaging in sexual activity for
hire.”
The indictments also indicate the forfeiture of $460 related to the offenses.
Papers filed in Perrysburg Municipal Court related to the incident allege that Henry drove the vehicle
which transported the girl, and the other two defendants rode along.
Henry reportedly indicated “he had transported the female to other locations in the Toledo, Ohio, area on
previous occasions wherein she would engage in sexual activity for hire.” He and Rolen would reportedly
receive half of the money paid to her.
Pope and Rolen also were allegedly instrumental in maintaining an ad on an escort website used for the
girl.
