East Suburban Animal Hospital hosts open house
NORTHWOOD — The doctors and staff of East Suburban Animal Clinic will host an open house at their new
office, with tours and light refreshments. The event is open to the public.
It will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 5032 Woodville Road.
East Suburban Veterinary Clinic’s newly completed, state-of-the-art office is 6,400 square feet, about 20
percent larger than the original hospital.
The new facility includes seven exam rooms, an expanded waiting area and an open treatment space to
accommodate future growth.
Founded in 1981, East Suburban Animal Clinic employs six veterinarians and 25 staff members.
PERI meets Monday
The Public Employee Retirees Incorporated will meet Monday at 1:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church, East
Wooster Street, Bowling Green.
The guests will be OPERS representatives Ron Wartenberg and Tracy Johnson addressing the medicare
connector.
Any potential new members are asked to arrived 15 minutes early.
Otterbein hosts blood drive
PEMBERVILLE – Otterbein Portage Valley is hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross Thursday from
1 to 6 p.m. to help with high demands for blood donations in the summer. To register go to the American
Red Cross website or call (419) 833-8917. All donors will be entered into a drawing for a basket from
Beekers General Store.
Hospital topic is vascular disease in women
Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Wood County Hospital, Munier Nazzal MD, vascular surgeon, will discuss
vascular issues in women.
Varicose veins and venous disease is common in women. Early interventions and care will prevent
complications. Minimal surgical interventions and medical care is currently available to prevent
advanced stages of venous disease.
