Author events kick off
Pizza and Pages, a monthly book group, meets Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Bowling Green Middle School
Media Center, 1079 Fairview Ave., to discuss books by Chris Grabenstein.
The monthly club is for sixth-eighth graders and is held in conjunction with the Wood County District
Public Library.
Multiple copies of Grabenstein’s titles are available at the library’s Children’s Place desk.
Grabenstein is this year’s Youth Community Reads author and will be at the library May 5 at 7 p.m.
Another event to go along with Grabenstein’s visit is Library Late-Night for tweens and teens ages 11
and older. Space is limited for this May 17 event from 7 to 10 p.m. at the library.
One of Grabenstein’s books is "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library," which plunks a dozen
sixth-graders into the middle of a futuristic library for a night of nonstop fun and adventure,
according to his website. He also wrote "I Even Funnier" with James Patterson.
For more information, call the Children’s Place at 419-352-8253.
