Princesses get pampered
Kids Count Too Inc. is hosting its second annual Princess for a Day event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to
noon and 1 to 3 p.m. at Bowling Green Covenant Church, 1165 Haskins Road.
This is an opportunity for girls up to age 18 to be pampered and treated like a princess for a day.
Activities include a tea party luncheon, hair and makeup design, a photo shoot, a princess outfit to
keep, a DJ and dancing, and princess lessons from princess Laurel.
All foster girls can attend at no cost and it is open to other girls in the community, if they would like
to purchase a ticket for $50. There is a family discount rate of $75.
Proceeds support Kids Count Too Inc. and this event.

Bunny stories, crafts offered
Hop into the Children’s Place at the Wood County District Public Library at 10:30 am on Saturday for some
bunny fun.
Bunny-themed stories, songs and activities for babies and toddlers with caregivers.

Legopalooza at the library
Families are invited to the monthly Legopalooza program at the Children’s Place of the Wood County
District Public Library on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m.
The library staff will share its Lego collection along with books for creative ideas and stories.

Bird badge help at park
PERRYSBURG – A Bird Study Merit Badge for Boy Scouts will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at W.W.
Knight Nature Preserve in the Green Room, 29530 White Road.
Learn all about birds during this program designed to assist Boy Scouts in earning a merit badge.
Registration is required.

‘Lorax’ is in the spotlight
PERRYSBURG – Storybook Spotlight is a program for children ages 5 to 7 that focuses on popular picture
book characters.
On April 22 from 4 to 5 p.m., the spotlight will be on "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss.
There will be games, crafts, and snacks celebrating this beloved character.

Perrysburg student’s painting on display at Baker Street
Gabby Click, a senior painting student at Perrysburg High School, will have her watercolor painting
displayed as part of the juried show in Bowling Green
The exhibit, "Artists 4 Animals," is a benefit for Bowling Green Arts Council and the Wood
County Humane Society. Her painting came in second place in the grade 9 through 12 category.
The exhibit will run through April 30 at the Myles Baker Street Gallery, 434 E. Wooster St.
Hayes Presidential Center launches new children’s series
FREMONT – The first session of the Hayes Presidential Center’s new children’s educational series Second
Saturdays R 4 Kids gives participants a chance become soldiers. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, kids
and their parents/adult companions can volunteer to serve in the Civil War.
Participants will experience being "mustered in," and learn about soldiers, officers, and
military training (drills, firing positions, etc.). The day includes special activities and a
make-and-take-project. Families are not obliged to stay for the entire time. The format is a "come
and go when you want."
Admission to Second Saturdays R 4 Kids is $7.50 for adults and $1 for children. This includes admission
to the Hayes Museum where the special exhibit Buckeye President: Rutherford B. Hayes is on display.
Those who have Hayes Presidential Center "Family-level" or above memberships can attend free.

Easter events at Bass Pro
ROSSFORD – Easter egg hunts will be held at Bass Pro Shop on Saturday and Sunday and April 19 and 20,
from 2 to 3 p.m.
Easter crafts for kids will be offered the same days, from 1 to 4 p.m. and April 18 from 2 to 7 p.m.
Visit the Easter bunny those two weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays from 6 to 8
p.m. and Friday from 2 to 7 p.m.
