The Wood County Committee on Aging is looking for that special individual looking to
help homebound seniors in their community stay in their home by delivering a hot, nutritious meal to their
door.Hot, pre-packaged meals are picked up at a specific location at 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, and
delivered to homebound clients.The opportunity is open to people of all ages with the only requirement being
that you or someone you are sharing the meal route with has a dependable vehicle and possess a valid Ohio
driver’s license with proof of auto insurance. This is a perfect opportunity for families and/or friends to
do together or alone.Training and maps are given to that special individual who is able to give up
approximately 1-1/2 hours one (1) day a month or any combination of days to give back to their

Is seeking people age 18 and older for two volunteer programs:• Exhibit guides work on zoo

CASA/GAL for a child who is alleged to be abused or neglected whose case is being heard by the Juvenile
Court Judge. Volunteer is appointed to gather information about the child’s needs, advocate in court about
child’s best interest, report to the Judge the information gathered and make recommendations and to monitor
the child’s situation until a safe, permanent home is located. The CASA/GAL program provides extensive
