Learn to master soup at Portage Valley class
PEMBERVILLE – Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community’s Chef Reggie Hall will be hosting a
cooking class on Tuesday, March 18 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the facility at 20311 Pemberville Road.

He will offer a soup-making lesson to demonstrate how he creates some of the popular soups that are
served at Portage Valley.
A soup and salad luncheon will be served following the class. Reservations are required. Call Jaime at

New Adventures Group to try encaustic painting
The Wood County Senior Center’s New Adventures Group is for those looking for new adventures.
Next up, seniors in this group are invited to experience Encaustic Painting at Fuzed Studio, 114 W. South
Boundary, Perrysburg, on Wednesday, March 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Participants will learn about the history behind encaustic painting inspired by the Egyptians. Encaustic
painting dates back to the 19th century and has become the latest rage. Take part in this class and walk
away with your own painting.
Cost is $20 per participant. Transportation is provided, but registration is required as seating is
limited. Refreshments and Egyptian pastries will be sponsored by Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
