Learn basics of Alzheimer’s

TOLEDO – An introductory program titled "The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and
Alzheimer’s Disease" will be offered on four separate dates, each a month apart, starting in
December in Toledo.The program is designed to help anyone who is caring for someone affected by
Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia, including both professional and family caregivers, social
workers, nurses and STNA’s. It will include information on detection, causes and risk factors, disease
progression, treatment and more. The program will be interactive and allow discussion, problem solving,
and questions and answers.The first presentation of "The Basics" will be Dec. 10 from
1:30-3:30 p.m. Later dates include Jan. 15 from 1:30-3:30, Feb. 13 from 6-8 p.m. and March 11 from 10
a.m.-noon. The location will be the headquarters of the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter
at 2500 N. Reynolds Road.There is a $15 fee and pre-registration is required. Call 1-800-272-3900 or
