attend.Benefit dinner set for family victimized by explosionSTONY RIDGE – A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to
benefit the Jim Richards family will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church,
5520 Fremont Pike, Stony Ridge (corner of U.S. 20 and Ohio 163).Funds raised will be used for medical and
funeral expenses following a home explosion in Stony Ridge on Sept. 17. A freewill donation will be
accepted.Those who cannot attend may send donations to the Richards family fundraiser, St. John’s Lutheran
Church, P.O. Box 279, Stony Ridge, OH 43463.Supplemental funding will be provided by the Wood County Chapter

Wesleyan Church, Grand Rapids, on Saturday from 8-11 a.m.The church is located at the corner of Woodburn
Avenue and Second Street. The cost for the breakfast is any donation.Soup and salad lunch offeredThe
congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in the
fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit 102.3 FM Radio and Lutheran Indian
Ministries. The menu includes vegetable and chicken noodle soups, hot dogs and sloppy Joe sandwiches, along
with a variety of salads and desserts.Baked steak supperMcCLURE – The McClure United Methodist Church will
have a baked steak supper tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Carry-outs are available.A
free-will offering will be taken. The church is located on Ohio 65, just south of U.S. Route 6.This will be
the final supper of the year as there will be no meal served in December.
