Senior Citizen passes available for BGHS athleticsSenior Citizens, ages 65 and older, can attend
Bowling Green High School athletic events with a Senior Citizens Pass.Passes can be obtained at the Central
Administration Offices at 137 Clough St. in Bowling Green.Falcon women’s golfers sign twoGolfers Madelynn
Swank and Miranda Dunbar have signed national letters of intent to attend Bowling Green State University to
continue their athletic and academic career,Swank, from Hinsdale (Ill.) Central High School, helped lead her
team to a third-place team finish at the 2014 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Tournament
finals and fourth overall at the 2013 IHSA State finals event. Swank also posted three consecutive runner-up
finishes at three straight Mid-American Junior Golf Tour (MAJGT) Tournaments this past summer.Dubler, from
Mason (Ohio) High School, is the daughter of Kurt and Robin Dubler. This past fall season, Dubler helped to
lead her Comets team to first-place team finishes at the sectional and district championships, before
finishing fifth overall at the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I state championships.Carter
earns OCCAC honorTOLEDO — Owens Community College’s Kamilah Carter was voted the Ohio Community College
Athletic Conference player of the week.The sophomore point guard averaged 19 points, three assists and 2.3
steals per game for the Express last week.This is the second time Carter has garnered the award as she has
helped the No. 9 Express to an 11-1 start.Owens men’s basketball wins bigTOLEDO — Owens Community College’s
men’s basketball team throttled Henry Ford CC, 103-62, Tuesday night.Bikramjit Gill, Tony Boykins and Kenny
Jones each scored 13 points to lead the Express, now 7-3 overall.Owens jumped out to a 21-point lead by
halftime. It shot 14-of-29 (48 percent) from 3-point territory.
