Falcon tennis players honored for academics
Bowling Green women’s tennis seniors Nikki Chiricosta and Emily Reuland were named to the Mid-American
Conference’s all-academic team announced Tuesday morning.
BG sophomores Katie Brozovich and Drew Fillis received honorable mention.
Chiricosta and Reuland both had a cumulative grade-point average of better than 3.90, while each of the
honorable-mention choices had a GPA of 3.60 or higher at the time of nomination.
BGCC hosts youth golf clinics
The Bowling Green Country Club is hosting four youth clinics.
A clinic for girls age 8-14 will be held June 10, 12, 17 and 19.
The clinic is sponsored by the Golferettes and is free. The space is limited to 16 girls.
A clinic for youth 8-10 will be held June 23, 27, 30, and July 2. The cost is $70.
A clinic for youth age 10-12 will be held July 7, 9, 14 and 16. The cost is $70.
A clinic for youth age 13-16 will be held July 8, 10, 15 and 17. The cost is $70.
Bridgestone will have a ball-fitting clinic at the BGCC June 12 and Aug. 15 from noon-5 p.m.

The eighth annual Andy Open youth golf tournament is Aug. 6. The cost is $10 for BG residents and $13 for
non-residents. Contact the BG Parks and Recreation office to enter or for more information.
Links Lassies
Results of the Links Lassies outing at the Bowling Green County Club: Flight A: Eileen Smith, low gross,
low net; Flight B: Sue Kerr, low gross, low net; and Flight C: Juanita Huss, low gross, low net. Smith,
Joan Slebos and Kerr used the fewest number of putts.
Weber has hole-in-one
Kurt Weber, a student at the University of Cincinnati, had a hole-in-one at the Bowling Green Country
Club. He used a pitching wedge to ace the 147-yard 11th hole.
He is the grandson of Ann and Roger Weber, who are former members of the club.
