The City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission, along with Mayor Edwards, would like to express our
appreciation for all the fine work that went into the 13th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival, which was
held on Sunday, April 6 on the BGSU Campus.
We were proud to once again serve as a co-sponsor of this event. The good food, the wonderful music, and
the wealth of activities always help remind citizens and the members of the university community about
our nation’s and our city’s close ties with Japan as well as the outstanding leadership of Akiko Jones
and the good work of both the Japanese Club and the Asian Studies Program of Bowling Green State
University.
