To the Editor: BG woman critical of care at Wood County Hospital

0

On Dec. 20 at 1:30 in the afternoon, I suffered a series of epileptic seizures. The ambulance was called
but en route managed to not get the IV in the vein which collapsed the vein. At the hospital, I was
convulsing for four hours and all they did was not admit me, but let me lie and then send me home
unresolved.
Is this what we can expect of health care in Wood County? I have insurance. I am fed up with an inept,
nincompoop and incompetent medical system in Wood County?
One solution would be to go back to the way we used to have our doctors do our doctoring. Forget the
fancy gadgets, have them use their five senses to diagnose us. Also, really understand why there is
medical illness, don’t push us around like we’re nobodies.
