ST. JOHNS, Mich. (AP) — Two teenagers face arraignment in the robbery-slaying of a Michigan State
University student.
Dustyn
Frolka was found unconscious Feb. 15 on Interstate 69 in Clinton
County’s Bath Township, near Lansing. The sophomore was from Owosso.
Authorities
have charged three Saline teens with first-degree murder and armed
robbery. They are 18-year-old Samantha Grigg, 18-year-old Tyrel
Bredernitz and 16-year-old Brendan Heim.
Bredernitz and Grigg waived their right to a preliminary examination. They’re to be arraigned Monday in
circuit court.
Grigg’s
lawyer, Ron Zawacki, has said his client is expected to take a plea
deal. Prosecutor Charles Sherman says his office is working on a plea
deal with Bredernitz.
Heim is undergoing competency proceedings.
The Ann Arbor News says the defendants are accused of beating Frolka and tossing him from a moving
vehicle.
