CINCINNATI (AP) — Police in southwest Ohio say a motorist and a sleeping homeless man he hit with his car
are lucky to be alive.
Cincinnati
police said it happened early Friday when a man driving north on
Interstate 471 near downtown ran off the highway, down a hill and into a
bridge. The vehicle struck a homeless man who was sleeping under the
bridge.
Police Lt. Tim Brown tells The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1n0LAwA ) that neither was seriously
injured. He called it "a miracle."
The
homeless man was taken to a hospital. The driver of the car managed to
crawl out. Brown said the "whole car just crushed into the front seat."
He left and was found walking nearby.
