Duplex fire kills adult, child in Fremont

FREMONT, Ohio (AP) — Officials say the bodies of an adult and a child were found dead inside a northern Ohio home after a fire.

The Sandusky Register reports the fire broke out around 4 a.m. Saturday at a duplex in Fremont. Police say firefighters discovered the bodies inside the burned unit.

Authorities did not release the names of the deceased. The Lucas County Coroner's Office plans to conduct autopsies Monday.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
