Sharon Jean Williams, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on February 2, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in
Perrysburg.
Sharon was born, October 1, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio to Gladys and Eugene Davis. She grew up in East Toledo
and Perrysburg. Sharon graduated from Perrysburg High School and attended Owens Community College.
Sharon was employed by several day care centers in the area, including Masters Little Ones at Lutheran
Church of the Master.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, father, and stepmother Clara Davis, brother Eugene (Sonny)
Davis, sister, Cynthia Davis, son Richard (Rich), and sister-in-law Jane Williams.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard M. Williams. She is also survived by her daughter,
Cheryl Williams; son Thomas (Kathy) Williams; brother Reynold (JoAnne) Davis; grandchildren, Thomas
(Christine) Williams Jr., Amanda (Art) Becerra, and Ryan (Katrina) Williams; great-grandchildren,
Madison and Nicholas Williams; brothers- in-law, Bill Williams and Robert (Nancy) Williams; and
sister-in-law, Ellen Williams.
Sharon was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. The family would like to thank Zoar’s pastoral
and eucharistic companion ministry for their spiritual care for Sharon and family. The family also
expresses appreciation to the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Hospital Neuro Intensive Care
Unit, and The Manor at Perrysburg for the medical and direct care provided for Sharon.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 7th from 2 to 8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.
South Boundary St. in Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue after 9:30 a.m. on
Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave in Perrysburg where funeral
services will be held at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery. Following the burial,
a reception will be held for family and friends at Zoar Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be given to: Zoar Lutheran Church; Perrysburg
Christians United Food Pantry; Lutheran Church of the Master; or the donor’s choice of charity.
