Randy C. Oates, age 55, Walbridge, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at The Toledo
Hospital, Toledo, OH.
He was born on November 12, 1958 in Toledo, OH to Charles and Dora (Schuller) Oates. On June 10, 1977 he
married Charlene Fegley in Woodville, OH and she survives.
Randy served his country proudly for 26 years while enlisted in the United States Army during the Gulf
War and was a member of the American Legion.
He then worked at V.E. Peterson, Walbridge, as a warehouse manager.
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid NASCAR fan with Jeff
Gordon being his favorite driver.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Charlene Oates, children: Bill Oates of NJ, Jeremy
(Monica) Oates of ID, Justin Oates of Walbridge and Miranda (Johnethan) Wright, KS, 5 grandchildren,
father: Chuck Oates of Perrysburg and sister: Cindy Oates.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Dora "Rusty" Oates.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home,
201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11
a.m. in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH.
