Michael "Mikey" Stephen Baumgardner, 42, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2013 at
Blanchard Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family, extended family, and friends.He was known to
everyone as "Mikey."Mikey was born on November 17, 1971 in Toledo, Ohio. He came into the Jack and
Sondra Baumgardner family when he was 5. They became his adopted parents.He graduated from the Adam school,
part of the Blanchard Valley Center and later was employed at Blanchard Valley Industries, on the campus of
the Blanchard Valley Center. He later was employed at the Kan-Du Studio, a part of the Blanchard Valley
program, on Main Street in downtown Findlay.He was one of the original artists and enjoyed being a part of
that program until he died. One of his paintings was chosen by the state special arts program and traveled
all over the state at places like the Toledo Botanical Gardens.He loved to travel back and forth to their
little lake house up by Port Clinton, as well as Ludington, MI. He had opportunities to go on several
cruises, with the last one celebrating his 40th birthday.He is survived by his parents; sisters: Kim (Jim)
Mosher of Cincinnati, Lori (Phil) Berenger of Avon Lake, Vicky Shay of Westminster, MD, and Tammy Parnin of
Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brothers: Jeff (Janet) Baumgardner of N. Augusta, SC and Brad Baumgardner of Estero, FL;
and uncles, Randy Freeland and Roger (Dorothy) Freeland, both of Findlay.Mikey was preceded in death by his
brother, Toby Baumgardner; uncle Ronnie Freeland; and by his beloved Mamah and Papah.Mikey was a baptized
member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia. Mikey brought so much love and joy to all of those who met him,
and he will be sorely missed.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at
COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday,
December 4, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church (18974 S.R. 12, Arcadia, OH 44804), Arcadia, where visitation
will be for one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Rev. Roger Giese and Pastor David Bliss will
officiate and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.Memorials may be made to Bridge Home
