LaQuitta "Lue" Heffelfinger of Luckey, OH, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Avalon
at Perrysburg, Perrysburg, OH.
Lue was born on February 5, 1931 in Luckey, OH, to Albert and LaVern (Knitz) Walker. She graduated from
Troy-Luckey High School, Luckey. On February 3, 1951 she married William Heffelfinger in Luckey and he
preceded her in death on September 1, 2007.
After raising her children Lue decided to further her education. She became an LPN then attended Owens
Community College at the age of 57 and received her RN degree.
She worked for 25 years at Mercy St. Charles Hospital as a Med-Surg, ICU and ER nurse. She was a charter
member and volunteer for Troy Twp. EMS for 35 years and later became a Paramedic.
She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey and a member of Sonfire by the River,
Pemberville, OH.
Lue is survived by her children: Craig (Rene) Heffelfinger of Carrollton, TX, Paula Heffelfinger of
Bowling Green, Eric (Luann) Heffelfinger of Bowling Green, grandsons: Adam (Melissa) Heffelfinger of
Cleveland, Tim Heffelfinger of Bowling Green and great-grandson: Nolan Heffelfinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill and sister Norma Thompson.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. and Monday, January 13,
2014 from 12-1 p.m. from the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH with a funeral service
being conducted at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
