June A. Henry, age 89, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Hospice
of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg OH. She was born on February 16, 1925 in Luckey, OH to Robert and Grace
(Miller) Kurfess. On August 18, 1945 she married Glen S. Henry in Fort Worth, TX and he preceded her in
death on June 13, 2001. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. June
always said that her farm belonged to the Lord and she was taking care of it for him. Her memberships
included: St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, OH, working with the church food drive and organizing
the church blood drive. She volunteered with the Cancer Society delivering daffodils and helped children
in the Rossford Schools which she loved very much.
June is survived by her son: Bradley (Joan) Henry of Cape Coral, FL, daughters: Karen Puse of Perrysburg,
Shannon (Jim) Blore of Lake Worth, FL, Jan (Brian) Dawley of Toledo, Kelley (Jim) Nesmith of Toledo,
grandchildren: Curt (Laurie) Puse, Troy Puse, Jodi (Jacob) Bowman, Christie (Jake) Rumpf,
step-granddaughter: Chrissy Martin, great grandchildren: Avery, Ella, Kate and sister: Kathleen McDowell
of Deerfield, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Glen, son-in-law: Neal Puse, and
brothers: Paul and Tom Kurfess.
A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11 AM from St. John’s Lutheran Church,
Stony Ridge, OH. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Beaudoin. Interment will be private in Troy Twp.
Cemetery, Luckey. Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, OH. In lieu of
flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church- Roof Fund. Those wishing to
