Joyce D. Martin, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014. She was born in Toledo on
May 19, 1927 to Mark J. and Alma (Eichman) Bell. She married William "Jerry" Martin in 1949
and he preceded her in death in 1974. She later married Donald Reichert and he also preceded her in
death.
Joyce was a 1949 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She taught elementary school for both
Findlay and Eastwood School systems. She was a member of the Wood County Retired Teacher’s Association
and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. After retirement, Joyce enjoyed organizing and leading group tours of
Europe, Asia and North America. She also found great enjoyment in playing bridge with friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Tom of Los Angeles, CA, Jon of Williamsburg, VA, and Rob of
Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Robert, Conner, Paul and Emma Martin. She was preceded in death by a
brother, Mark Bell and sister, Virginia Brassell.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, January 10, 2014 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church
beginning at 11:00am. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until service time. Private interment
will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by DUNN FUNERAL HOME.
