James "Jim" D. Jorgensen, 95, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Wednesday,
December 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.Jim was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, to the late
Antonne and Iva (Abby) Jorgensen, on November 5, 1918. He married Alice (Robertson) Jorgensen on July
10, 1943 in Indiana, and she preceded him in death on September 5, 2005.Jim was the owner and operator
of Jorgensen Leasing Service Inc. and also retired from truck driving in 1985. While working as a truck
driver, Jim was proud of his 2.5 million plus miles he traveled without any chargeable accident
citations on his driving record.Jim enjoyed being a truck driver and also driving his Jeeps.Jim was a
member of the Teamster Local, the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. Jim and his late
wife Alice enjoyed being active band parents for the Bowling Green City Schools, where they would load
all the band instruments in their vehicle and take them to the high school games where they could watch
their children, Judith and Don, perform in the band and Duane play football.Jim served his country
proudly in the United States Army Air Corps as a Medic during World War II.Jim loved hunting and fishing
and also enjoyed traveling with his late wife in their RV throughout the United States, visiting every
state except Hawaii and Alaska. Jim at the age of 90 took a cruise to Alaska where he was the oldest
passenger on the cruise ship.Jim is survived by a daughter: Judith (Charlie) Lank, of Joppatowne,
Maryland; sons: Duane Jorgensen, of Jordan, Minnesota; Donald Jorgensen, of Bowling Green, Ohio; one
granddaughter: Brenda Jorgensen, of Bowling Green, Ohio; a grandson: Gary Pogan, of Bowling Green, Ohio;
a brother: Tom (Dorothy) Jorgensen, of Findlay, Ohio; and a host of nieces of nephews.Along with his
parents and wife Alice, Jim was preceded in death by a grandson: Gary Jorgensen and other brothers and
sisters.Visitation for Jim will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the
DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio
43402, Tele: 419-352-2171.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in
the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the
