George Lee Gosden

George Lee Gosden, age 64, of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Bradner, Ohio was called home to our
heavenly Father on Monday (July 6, 2014) in Fort Collins, Colorado.
He was born on March 17, 1950 in Long Island, New York to Robert Philip and Velma LaVergne (Entsminger)
Gosden. He married Eiko Nakama in May 1975.
Surviving is his loving wife Eiko of 39 years; mother, LaVergne of Bradner, Ohio; son, Hiro Gosden of
Fort Collins, CO; daughter, Michelle (Marc) Cruz of Guam; brother, Thomas Gosden of Gibsonburg, OH;
grandchildren, Kento Gosden, Hayato Gosden, Yui Gosden, Nicholas Cruz and Amaya Cruz. George was
preceded in death by his father; son, Keiichi Gosden; brother, Robert Gosden II and daughter, Susan
McCoy.
George spent his career in the Army in the Green Beret Special Forces Group, then onto Military Police
force where he earned the rank of Major.
He was a member of the Bradner United Methodist Church, former member of the Risingsun Volunteer Fire
Department, the VFW in Guam, and he was a member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in
Bradner.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday (July 25, 2014) at the Bradner United Methodist Church
where a Celebration of Life Service will start at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mark Kuhlman officiating.
Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery with full military honors by the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338
of Bradner, Ohio.
A bereavement luncheon will follow back at the Albert Bowe American Legion immediately following the
committal services at the cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, OH.
