Billie M. Leathers, 95, of Bloomdale, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the
Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
She was born on November 25, 1918, to the late Clyde V. and Ethel (Carter) Strausbaugh Sr. in Gallia
County, OH. She married Warren “Buck” Leathers on August 25, 1935, and he preceded her in death in June
2007.
Billie is survived by her sons: Gary Leathers of Arcadia and Mike (Sue) Leathers of Bloomdale;
grandchildren: Kathleen (Mark) Rodabaugh of Van Buren, Darci (Jason) Clark of Wilder, KY, Carri (Jason)
Stanley of Bowling Green, Jacob Leathers of Bloomdale, Lizbeth Leathers of Portland, OR, Alison Leathers
of Phoenix, AZ, and Laura Leathers of Gibsonburg; and nine great-grandchildren.
Billie was also preceded in death by her brothers: Ray, Jack, Clyde Jr., and Stanley Strausbaugh; a
sister, Nellie Williams; daughter-in-law Ann Leathers; and a great-grandson.
She was a homemaker and seamstress and had worked at Rogers Costumes in Fostoria.
She is a member of the Arcadia United Methodist Church. She loved growing and caring for flowers.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in
Findlay, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday. Pastor Erma Metzger will officiate
and burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery in Bloom Township.
Memorials may be given to the Arcadia United Methodist Church in her memory.
