Betty A. Frees, 77, of Bowling Green, formerly of Portage, passed away Saturday July 19, 2014.
Betty was born, September 24, 1936, in Continental, Ohio to the late Elmer and Doris (Corkwell)
Schwartzengraber. She married Stanley R. Frees on March 25, 1955 in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her
in death in 1999.
Betty is survived by her children: Bob (Ina) Frees of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Ron (Shelia) Frees of
Seattle, Washington; Karen Halladay of Bowling Green; Charlene Frees of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio; and
Janice (Darren) Pash of Portage; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and siblings: Mary Mays,
Jerri Catto, Viola Sorenson, Kathy Brinkman, Charlene Spencer and James Schwartzengraber.
She was preceded in death by her six brothers and three sisters.
Betty enjoyed camping, boating and being in the outdoors. She loved listening to Elvis and old country
music. Betty was very family oriented and loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Visitation for Betty will be on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL
HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, where her funeral
service will be held on Friday July 25, 2014 at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the East Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
