Alvena H. Parsons, age 91, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Otterbein
Portage Valley Retirement Village, Pemberville, OH.
On October 3, 1922 she was born in Toledo, OH to Floyd and Anna (Kanke) Koons. She married George H.
Parsons on May 26, 1946 in Toledo, OH and he survives.
Alvena was an order picker for both JC Penney and Amerisource Wholesale Drugs.
In her spare time she enjoyed planting flowers and shopping.
Alvena is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George; along with Sherrie (Pam McGarvey) Moore of
Toledo, OH, Carol (Glenn) Rowe of Stockton, IL, Nancy (Wayne) Roberts of Columbia Station, OH, six
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Anna Koons.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lake Twp. Cemetery,
Millbury, OH. Officiating will be Rev. Peter Johnston.
Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, OH.
Consideration for memorial contributions are to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Otterbein Portage Valley –
Activities Fund.

aides and Hospice of Northwest Ohio staff especially, Amanda for the wonderful care given to Alvena.
