NORTHWOOD — A Toledo man received minor injuries late Sunday night in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 75
in Northern Wood County.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reports that at 9:59, near Wales Road, Robert L.
Snyder, 40, Toledo, was driving his 2005 Chevrolet Malibu southbound in the northbound lanes. Shane A.
Neves, 38, of St. Paris, was northbound driving a 2010 International semi-truck, and saw the Snyder
vehicle approaching. Neves came to a complete stop and was struck by the Snyder vehicle head on.
Snyder’s vehicle went off the roadway into the median.
Snyder was taken to St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, for treatment of minor injuries.
Neves was not injured.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Northwood Police Department, Rossford Police Department and
Northwood Fire and EMS
The patrol reports that both drivers were wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the
crash, which remains under investigation.
