On Tuesday, the two young men charged with ethnic intimidation and criminal mischief regarding
graffiti found at Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball coach Louis Orr’s house appeared in Wood
County Juvenile Court.According to Judge David Woessner, the cases against the two teens was
"essentially set out to Feb. 14.""With the consent of all parties, the youth were ordered to
have a face to face meeting with Mr. Orr and/or his family," Woessner said of the proceedings. The judge
said it is his understanding that following that meeting, the prosecutor’s office will meet with Orr and
then make a recommendation as to how to proceed with the charges. The prosecutor’s office will arrange the
meeting. The judge said that one of the defendants has formally admitted to the crimes, though he added that
in his court, it is not the same as pleading guilty in an adult court. He said the case can still be
resolved without a formal conviction. The other youth has not admitted to the crime."It looks like they
are trying to treat the boys the same way despite the different status," Woessner said of the
prosecution’s plan. There were two additional youth charged with related crimes, but not directly involved
with the swastika and the words "white power" written in chalk on the driveway of the
African-American coach. All four are students at Bowling Green High School.
