Three of four people indicted in a 2013 kidnapping case pleaded guilty to amended charges Thursday.
Brittany Long, 20; Blake Long, 21; and Nicholas Martinez, 19, all of Toledo, appeared before Judge Robert
Pollex.
Each pleaded guilty to a single count of abduction in the August, 2013 incident, as part of a plea deal.

The
case involved a University of Toledo student – a Chinese national – who
was picked up by members of the group at his residence on Aug. 18 after a
fourth co-defendant, Hui Zhang, 23, Toledo, allegedly contacted him
about a trip to Cedar Point.
The
group proceeded to drive the victim to an abandoned house in Bowling
Green where he was robbed of a credit card. The defendants also
reportedly attempted unsuccessfully to extort money from the victim’s
relatives in China before letting him go unharmed.
Sentencing in the three cases is set for June 17.
Zhang did not plead, and her case is set for trial on Wednesday.
As part of the plea agreement, all of the defendants have agreed to testify against her in the trial.
