Three people were injured in weekend crashes handled by the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
Friday at 8:43 a.m. Michelle Stimmel, Bowling Green, was northbound on Liberty Hi Road at the posted stop at U.S. 6 when she failed to yield the right-of-way and drove into the intersection.
John Franks, Grand Rapids, who was westbound on Route 6, took evasive action to prevent a crash and drove off the right side of the road into a ditch. After striking the ditch, Frank's vehicle rolled over onto its top.
Franks sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Mid-County 120 EMS.
Stimmel was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
At 10:15 a.m. Dennis Dell, Perrysburg, was westbound on Ohio 163, just west of Pemberville Road, when he went off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, came back onto the roadway, and then crossed the median.
The vehicle then overturned in a ditch on the south side of the road.
Dell sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, by Troy Township EMS.
He was cited for reasonable control.
Saturday at 8:24 a.m. Nicholas Bolton, Weston, was westbound on Sand Ridge Road, just west of Range Line Road, when he lost control on the icy roadway, spun 180 degrees, and struck a utility pole.
He sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Weston EMS.
