Though not fully complete, the Wood County Sheriff's Office has launched a new, more mobile-friendly website to the public.
"As of today, the site is not yet 100-percent complete but we wanted to open our doors as the new year enters," read a message from Capt. Scott Frank introducing the new site, located at woodcountysheriff.com.
The message notes that, with its new format, "you will find that the website interacts well with your mobile device and that it will allow you to quickly navigate  and view the site contents in a format that is conducive to a mobile device environment."
Additionally, the message stated the site is simpler for the sheriff's office to manage - and they can do so from their mobile devices.
The home page of the site has additional new features, including a more visible links to pages and the sheriff's office Facebook page, and a rotating banner of recent informational pieces.
