Perrysburg Twp. takes applications for citizens’ police group

LIME CITY – The Perrysburg Township Police Department will soon be taking applications for its Citizens’
Police Academy.
Attendees will learn about the operations of the department, and the duties of a police officer. They
will also hear from county and state agencies that the department partners with in their crime
prevention work.
Attendees will additionally have the opportunity to experience some of the real-life training undergone
by police officers, including use of force issues, firearms, the courts, and can become CPR certified.

Applications will be available from Feb. 10 to 21 at the department, or on Perrysburg Township’s website
at www.perrysburgtownship.us.
Perrysburg Township residents, or those who work in the township, will have first preference. Class size
is limited.
