Streets closed for tree lightingWest Court Street, between Main and Church streets, will be closed
tonight in conjunction with the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7.Additionally, some on-street parking
restrictions will be imposed on North Main Street between Oak and Court streets.Carriage rides will be
offered as part of this event. These rides will travel on streets in the downtown.Motorists are urged to use
caution and travel slowly near the carriage.Deputies injured in assault at jailAn inmate at the Wood County
Justice Center reportedly assaulted deputies at the facility Tuesday.At 10:25 a.m., staff were attempting to
put Jameika Gayle, 19, into a safety restraining chair after she reportedly attempted to harm herself. She
allegedly became combative and caused injury to three deputies in the incident.The deputies were reportedly
treated on-site and did not require additional medical attention.Gayle is currently being held on charges
including driving while under the influence, assault, speeding, and harassment by inmate.Vehicles robbed in
PerrysburgPERRYSBURG – A series of thefts from vehicles were reported Wednesday in Perrysburg.According to
Perrysburg Police, the five incidents were reported in the 10000 block of Fremont Pike, the 27000 block of
Carronade Drive, and the 27000 block of Carronade Drive.The thefts were valued at up to, or in excess of,
$200.BG burglary is reportedA burglary was reported in the city on Wednesday.Bowling Green Police report
that the incident occurred at a residence in the 800 block of Third Street sometime after 11 p.m. Tuesday
and 10 a.m. on Wednesday.An unknown person reportedly entered the residence and took a purse containing
medication and a checkbook.BG schools collecting foodBowling Green Middle School is having a canned food
drive through Monday.The Builders Club will collect and count the items and get them to the BG Food
