Summer running program starts
TONTOGANY- Run United 2014, a summer running program, is being offered at Calvary United Methodist
Church, Tontogany.
The free program for all runners entering fourth through seventh grades will be held beginning Monday,
and continuing Wednesday, along with July 11, 14 and 16. The program will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. each of the
five nights.
Race day will be July 19 at 10:30 a.m. That will be held jointly with Walk United 2014 for adult walkers.

BG woman arrested for assault
Tiffany A. Ankney, 23, of BG, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. at her home for domestic violence and
endangering children. She was taken to jail, no bond. She also was arrested on a Lucas County Sheriff’s
warrant for theft.
She allegedly pushed the victim and slapped him while he was holding a child.
Flubber fun for families
Families are invited to join Amanda Gamby from the Wood County Solid Waste Management District for some
Flubber making fun on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Children’s Place at the Wood County District Public
Library.
The Children’s Place continues to sign up youth for the Summer Reading Program, Fizz Boom Read! in the
Mad Scientist Lab.

Rt. 65 road work continues
Ohio 65, between Roachton Road and Brittney Road, is now open.
Effective this month, Route 65 between Carrington Boulevard and Hull Prairie Road will be closed for
culvert replacement.
