Storm causes power outages in BG
Power outages were reported in Bowling Green after strong storms rocketed through the area Wednesday
night.
John Stewart, city assistant electrical superintendent, said this morning that a circuit at the Gypsy
Lane substation was struck by lighting, and three other outages also occurred, all due to lightning.
He said the outages affected the southern portions of the city in the South Main Street area.
The outages occurred around 10 p.m. and lasted approximately 30 minutes.

Portage Twp. sets special meeting Wed.
The Portage Township Trustees will hold a special meeting on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the township hall
at the corner of Huffman and Mermill roads
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss road improvements and the 2015 budget.
